Welcome
to Belgrade!
Belgrade
is the capital city of Serbia and with the
population of 2 million citizens it is the
largest city in the country.
Still exotic, Belgrade is one of the most
enjoyable cities on Balkan, it is peaceful
and cheap for tourist all around the world.
It is situated at the confluence of the river
Sava into Danube.
Today, the most famous landmark of Belgrade
is Kalemegdan, a medieval fortress in the
heart of the city with the famous monument
– a column with the statue of victor on it.
Belgrade is the city where east meets west
and where the oriental tradition shakes hands
with new era. Thus, old parts of the town
like Stari Grad & Dorćol,
with quite and comfortable cafés confront
downtown, with large shopping centers, clubs,
pubs and bars. In famous restaurants in Skadarlija
you can taste the specialties from the Balkan
but enjoy in Italian or French cousin too.
